Our Story *

Last Chapter Cafe was born from a desire to create a space we couldn’t seem to find—a place where thoughtfully crafted drinks, meaningful connection, and a love of books could exist together.

As lifelong book lovers, we’ve always been drawn to the feeling of independent bookstores—the quiet corners, the sense of discovery, and the way they invite you to slow down. We wanted to capture that feeling and pair it with a café experience centered around quality, hospitality, and community.

In March 2025, that vision became Last Chapter Cafe.

Built by 3 siblings, Last Chapter started as a small pop-up with a big dream. We spent countless early mornings preparing for pop-ups, late nights testing recipes, and weekends serving coffee and matcha throughout the Bay Area. What began as an idea quickly became something much bigger than we imagined.

With every event, every returning customer, and every conversation shared across our bar, Last Chapter continued to grow. More than a coffee and matcha pop-up, it became a place for people to gather, celebrate milestones, catch up with friends, discover new favorites, and create lasting memories.

While we’re proud of how far we’ve come, this is only the beginning. Our dream has always been to open a permanent home for Last Chapter—a space where books line the shelves, drinks are crafted with care, and everyone feels welcome.

Until then, you’ll find us doing what we love most: serving our community one cup at a time.

Pouring Forward & Community

At Last Chapter Cafe, we believe a simple drink can create something much bigger.

Pouring Forward is our monthly community initiative where we partner with creators, artists, authors, small business owners, and individuals with meaningful causes close to their hearts. Together, we create a special drink, and a portion of every purchase is donated to an organization making a difference.

Since launching the movement, our community has helped us support causes ranging from education and children’s advocacy to immigration services, humanitarian relief, and rare disease awareness.

Some of the organizations we’ve supported include:

  • Gaza Relief — $330 raised

  • Stand Up for Kids Silicon Valley — $364 raised

  • National Immigration Law Center — $552 raised

  • Room to Read — $1,000 raised

  • VHL Alliance — $508 raised in honor of a friend and family affected by Von Hippel-Lindau (VHL) disease

To date, we’ve donated over $2,700 through Pouring Forward, and we’re just getting started.
